Society for Garden Archaeology

Mission

The Society for Garden Archaeology's mission is to serve as a center for an
emerging global community of scholars devoted to the archaeological investigation
of gardens and designed landscapes.

In doing so, the Society for Garden Archaeology seeks to disseminate current research across geographic and cultural boundaries.

Consequently, the Society for Garden Archaeology shall further the study of gardens and designed natural environments, and will broaden the scope and methods that archaeology brings to the understanding of past cultures and human activities.
