In doing so, the
Society for Garden Archaeology seeks to disseminate current research across
geographic and cultural boundaries.
Consequently, the Society for Garden Archaeology shall further the study of
gardens and designed natural environments, and will broaden the scope and
methods that archaeology brings to the understanding of past cultures and
human activities.
